Alaris SMS Platform for retail services

With the help of Alaris SMS Platform it is possible to offer a wide variety of sms services to end users: from simple web-based texting to complete sms campaigns. The system provides all the needed functional modules to start offering retail sms services.

SMS messages generated by the end users are send over to a list of sms service providers of your choice. You are able to define dynamic cost aware routing rules to send your sms traffic to, thus, to ensure either best margin values or best delivery rate or both.

SMS recipients database can be populated in a variety of ways:

direct import from files in the web interface;

automated contacts collector form integrated into customer’s web-site;

integration with third party applications (such as SalesForce, 1C) via ODBC interface or application specific interfaces.

SMS campaign planner allows for:

flexible recipients selection based on any recipient characteristics (such as age, gender, etc.) available in the database;

immediate or delayed (planned) message delivery;

event triggered sms notification (e.g.: new user registration event may trigger random password generation and delivery via sms; new dentist appointment found in SalesForce database may schedule sms notification to the client 24 hours before the appointment time).

Server side only or Server & Client type of installation.

Sometimes companies find it insecure to import their customer’s contact information to a third party service (such as sms notification service). To still be able to offer sms services to such companies you may choose to install “Server and client” type of Alaris SMS Platform. The server side of the application will reside on your premises and it will contain the sms switching module, billing module and administration interface, while the client side of the application will be installed on the client premises and will contain client control interface and the module responsible for recipients management (including tools for integration with third-party applications). The client side application will send messages via server side application. Thus, your client’s data is secure since it does not leave the premises of the client’s office and you still serve as gateways for the sms traffic that this client generates.

Typical usage of the sms campaign service that Alaris SMS Platform allows for:

Banks. Transaction authorization via temporary sms delivered password.

Medical centers. Patients are alerted about appointments via sms. Important medical center news are delivered via sms.

Schools. Parents are alerted about their children marks.

VoIP retail services. New users registration is confirmed via sms delivered code.

Mobile/Internet/VoIP scratch cards replacement. In countries where online payment methods are not widely adopted scratch cards are the main mean to top up balance. Instead of printing expensive scratch cards it is possible to replace them with open code cards with sms based activation.
